I can’t believe it, but the girl got a job. I had to bite my tongue, when she started looking, because I didn’t want to discourage her, but face it….how many companies hire 14 year olds?
I kept telling her, that maybe one of the fast food places….. but she kept saying No. she didn’t want to work in a fast food place. and every where we’d stop, she’d go into the surrounding stores, asking if they were hiring, and picking up an application.
sure enough, she got hired at one of the restaurants as a bus “Person”
I’m very proud of her.
hehehe, especially that first night, I come home from work, and she’s here, and she whines…My Feet Hurt! And It Was A SLOW Night!!
poor girl. Welcome to the Almost Real World (she’s not having to make car/ins/rent payments, so it’s not quite the real world)
I finally got moved inside the store. about the only thing that could make me stop people greeting and go inside (didn’t want the hassel of “bosses” and “stock” and “soap opera” that happens inside) and that’s working at the Connects section. /that’s Cell Phones/ of course, we’re not busy in the connects center, and since it’s right there with the electronics, I’m to help out there, and later on, I’ll learn a little about the photolab, and help there also.
Have to admit, that I’m loving it. well…..there is ’soap opera’ type stuff going on, but so far, I’ve been able to stay away from it, or just smile through it. I’m impatient to learn all the cell phone stuff (ok, and the electronic stuff) but of course, only time will help with that.
tomorrow /monday/ i’ll meet the aunts /and meme/ half way, and exchange A with them. she’ll be gone a week.
man. that’s going to be hell.
seriously. no boy. no girl. hubby is going to get on my nerves bad. maybe we won’t talk to each other. i could be so lucky.
you know. life on earth really is hell.
